Dr. Ibrahim Karatas is a highly regarded general surgeon in Turkey. From the Faculty of Medicine at Ukurova University, he graduated in 1994. At the University of Düsseldorf Medical Faculty, where he completed an internship as part of his medical training, he had the chance to track numerous global advancements in the medical profession. At SSK Ankara Dşkap Teaching and Research Hospital, he specialized in General Surgery (Advanced Laparoscopy) between 1997 and 2001. He joined the Turkish Taekwondo Federation's Health Board in the year 2001. In 2002, he underwent training in infrared photocoagulation and sclerotherapy for the treatment of hemorrhoids and varicose veins, and he has since carried out several surgeries. As a result of his training in the enteral parenteral nutrition unit at the SSK Ankara Teaching Hospital and the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, he was able to closely monitor both his patients' clinical nutrition and surgical techniques.
