With more than 18 years of experience in the field of general surgery, Dr. Mehmet Deniz is a well-established and skilled general surgeon.  After earning his medical degree from the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2003, Dr. Deniz began his specialization in general surgery at the izmir Ataturk Training and Research Hospital in 2005. Dr. Mehmet Deniz made the decision to specialize in general surgery after being extremely inspired by the field during his internship in the general surgery department during his fifth year of medical school. After graduating from medical school, he began working as the Head of a Health Group.  He belongs to several professional organizations, such as the Turkish Surgical Society, the National Society of Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery, the Turkish Bariatric Surgery Association, the Izmir Breast Diseases Association, the Turkey Metabolic Surgery Foundation, and the Turkish Colon and Rectal Surgery Society. Dr. Mehmet Deniz is a well-known and successful general surgeon with more than 18 years of expertise in the field. He had both his primary and secondary education in the city in where he was born. He then began his high school education at Kayseri Science High School and completed it there. After earning his degree from the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, he began his medical training. He began his training for a specialization in 2005 after winning the Department of General Surgery position at the IZmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. He pursued his education for an additional six years, graduating as a General Surgery Specialist in 2011. At the TRNC Girne Military Hospital, he finished his military service. He finished his compulsory duty in 2013 as Deputy Chief Physician and General Surgery Specialist at Bursa Iznik State Hospital. He began working at the Buca Medical Center and Private Tnaztepe Hospital in 2013. There, he established himself as a pioneer in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery, particularly for the treatment of obesity and metabolic disorders. He established himself as IZmir's first type 2 diabetes specialist. In 2016, he helped raise awareness of these procedures by planning the Metabolic Surgery Symposium. Over the course of his eight years of employment, he carried out over 5000 procedures, including laparoscopic reflux, hernia, gallbladder, colon, adrenal, spleen, and breast surgery, thyroid surgery, hemorrhoids using laser method, fistula, and pilonidal sinus surgery.
